Tracking Today’s Fast-Paced Yacht Boating Market

September, 2019

The past decade has seen an explosion in the mega-size center console market (often described as center console yachts). So popular are these big rigs that today every major center console builder offers at least one triple- or quad-powered model over 40 feet in length. Adding to the momentum, last year’s introduction of the HCB 65 Estrella blew past everyone’s idea that there might be limit of how big these boats could become. Powered with five custom Seven Marine outboards totaling over 3,000 horsepower, the Estrella went where no center console has gone before.

With prices already exceeding $1 million, it's clear where the market for ever larger center consoles is headed. As long and the economy remains strong and builders continue to invest in development costs, the future appears to favor a steady flow of new model introductions as far as the eye can see.
