A POPULAR model within weeks of her introduction, the Beneteau GT 46 combines style and performance with a choice of stern drive or pod drive propulsion. There's more usable deck space on the GT 46 than most anything in this class. Cockpit access from both sides of the swim platform creates a multipurpose island transom lounge. The window-style swinging doors to the salon are completely unique, nothing like it anywhere. Acres of salon window glass provide panoramic views of the water while an enormous electric sunroof offers ventilation and sky views. The galley down layout features two staterooms with a U-shaped dining settee to starboard and a full beam owner's stateroom with large hull windows and ensuite head. The forward VIP cabin has an island berth that splits into two single berths — very clever. The curved companionway stairs are a nice touch. The teak swim platform can support a dinghy and a hydraulic swim platform is optional. Twin foredeck sun pads convert to chaise lounges. On the downside, the engine bay is a tight fit. Twin Volvo 435hp IPS 600 diesels cruise at 25–26 knots (low 30s top).

BUILT IN France by Jeanneau Yachts, the Prestige 460 S is based on the earlier Prestige 450 (2013–17) but with a new deck and interior. Like many recent coupe designs, the 460 S is all about versatility: The main deck can be a protected living area, or by opening the large sunroof and aft sliding glass door, it can be part of the outdoors. The two stateroom, two head interior has galley aft, just inside the salon door where it is easily reached from the cockpit. The salon, two steps up from the galley, has a dinette to port and a loveseat to starboard, just behind the helm station. The full-beam amidships master has a king-size bed with nightstands on both sides. Hull windows bathe the stateroom in natural lighting. Forward, the VIP cabin has an island double berth, generous storage and long hull windows. The spacious cockpit features a huge L-shaped settee in the starboard corner with a teak hi/low table that converts the settee into a sun pad. Teak decking is standard in the cockpit and there's an option for crew quarters in the enormous lazarette. Volvo 435hp IPS600 pod drive diesels cruise at 25–26 knots (30+ knots top). Note that the Prestige 460 Fly is the same boat with — you guessed it — a flybridge.
